Background
Adlern Messer 34 is a residential property at Odenplan that has for a long time had problems with leakage in the heating trunks. In connection with this, several radiators have been replaced, which indicated internal coatings, corrosion and deterioration of water quality in the heating system. The goal of the project was to stabilize the system, release existing coatings and reduce the risk of future leaks and water damage — without major intervention or system replacement.
Challenge
The heating system showed clear signs of internal corrosion and coatings in trunks and radiators. This increased the risk of continued leaks, operational disruptions and costly consequential damage. Traditional measures such as chemical cleaning or major pipe replacements were judged to be both risky and cost-prohibitive.
Solution
AEGIR Impulse Pro was installed on the property's closed heating system in combination with a TTM Filter X250. The impulse system generates pulsating electromagnetic signals that convert naturally dissolved gases (O₂ and CO₂) into nanobubbles. These nanobubbles help break down coatings, release corrosion products, and clean the internal surfaces of the system.
TTM Filter X250 captures released sludge, magnetite and particles during the cleaning phase, thereby protecting the system while optimizing operation.
Results
- Release of coatings and corrosion residues in trunks and radiators
- Reduced risk of continued leakage and water damage
- Improved heat transfer and smoother radiator operation
- Stable and safer operation of the heating system
- Expected energy savings: about 10-15%
Technical conclusion
The combination of pulse-generated nanobubbles and efficient particle capture allows cleaning and stabilization of older heating systems without chemicals or mechanical interventions. The method is particularly suitable for properties with a history of leakage and internal corrosion where preventive measures are essential for long-term operational safety.
