AEGIR IMPULSE at Scandinavian XPO

AEGIR has now implemented its technology in one of Sweden's most demanding real estate environments — Scandinavian XPO, directly connected to QualityHotel Arlanda XPO and long-stay operations under the Stay Long concept.

This is a large-scale installation in whichthe water infrastructure works continuously under high load, with both hotel operations and major events in parallel.

About the plant

Scandinavian XPO covers approximately 18,000 m² of exhibition space and has a capacity for over 8,000 visitors. Together with the hotel- and long-stay business, this means:

• High and variable water consumption
• Continuous operation around the clock
• Complex and partially older piping systems
• High demands on hygiene, temperature and operational stability

Scopes of installation

The AEGIR Impulse system is installed over the whole water flow:

• Incoming tap water
• Hot water circulation (VVC)
• Distribution throughout the property

Objectivi del progetto

The objectives of the installation are:

• Improving the energy efficiency of the system
• Reducing biofilm in piping systems
• Preventing and Controlling Legionella
• Extend the service life of pipes and components

Expected and observed effects

When pipes are cleaned of biofilms and coatings, heat transfer is improved, which allows:

• Optimization of VVC temperatures
• Reduced energy consumption
• Maintaining safety and functionality

Additional effects include:

• Reduced occupancy in showers, faucets and heat exchangers
• Lower maintenance and replacement costs
• Improved functioning of sewerage systems

Validation and Follow-up

The project is carried out in cooperation with Arlanda Group and follow-ups through:

• Measurements of ATP
• Legionella sampling
• Analysis of complex systems
• Ongoing trend monitoring

A living-reference project

This is an active downtime in a constant load facility and serves as a reference for hotels, long stays and large commercial properties.
